Letter I just sent to my team ♥️
Extraordinarily emotional day at Tumblr today. Had a privilege of working with this gent for almost 6 years. @david might be moving on officially, but he has imagined, built, nurtured, and, enabled the most amazing digital community ever assembled for true iconoclasts, creators, artists, and lovers. That canvas is beautiful and eternal.
He’s Tumblr’s truest poet and ambassador, having personally met and listened to thousands of unicorns that need this place like oxygen. We also got to do some incredible things together (briefly meeting Beyoncé comes to mind), and still wound up on the L train after many memorable nights.
He’s eloquent, eternally curious, and humble. David is also freakishly young, which means he’s just getting started. Hopefully eternally in this city that we both love so much.
